Natural History Museum of the University of Zurich

The museum team

The museum team is responsible for the museum and its collections. We take care of our visitors, offer a wide range of events for all ages, look after and maintain the permanent exhibition and produce special exhibitions. Our core team of around 20 staff members practises 6 different professions. At the reception, students support the museum supervisors and attend to concerns of our visitors. The museum team is supervised by the NMZ Board of Directors.

Freelance staff

support the outreach team in conducting public and bookable activities. These include children's birthday parties, family workshops, public Sunday tours and school and group tours. Most of the facilitators study at the University of Zurich or have completed their studies and provide insight into university research through their own stories and anecdotes.
